The wine festival takes place at the end of August for about 10 days. It is a must if you are in town! The municipal gardens hosts other festivals (e.g. Chinese Festival of Culture) at other times and is a quiet park between events.

Parks & Nature
Limassol Zoo
Vyronos AvenueGreat views, monasteries, traditional goods, cafes and restaurants. Lovely hiking or biking trails and plenty of waterfalls. It is a few degrees cooler in the mountains so go prepared! You can even ski here in the winter months (some people ski down and drive down to the sea for a swim after)!
Caledonian Falls near Platres is a good walk with waterfalls and a fresh trout restaurant nearby that is relatively easy and not too tiring - not good for pushchairs but an able 5 year old would be fine.
