Set in 16 acres of native bushland on the banks of the Shoalhaven River at North Nowra, this is the largest Zoo on the NSW South Coast, boasting over 100 species of native and exotic mammals, birds and reptiles. We go there frequently and love it every time. Privately owned, managed and by all accounts loved with great talks by very helpful staff. Don’t miss the “Jungle Walk” along the back of the park – our kids favourite. And the slippery dip – steep, long and scary. The animals and animal talks are great too, plus you get to cuddle a koala, snakes and all sorts of other animals .zoo2
NB. The zoo also runs “zoo keeper” experiences which we also highly recommend. Our children have both done it and “it was the best EVER”. This place delivers activities, adventure and education.

Trees Adventure is located right inside Shoalhaven Zoo. The activities and adventure here are high in the tree canopy will have all the family swinging, leaping, climbing and flying through the forest allowing thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts to experience the trees like never before.
Sessions run for 2 hours including training and the courses become increasingly difficult as you climb higher into the canopy, which means that you can find the right level to suit you.
