Our favorite place! Local tavern with a sea view, good food and good beer. Make sure to try famous Vaxholmsströmming (local herring fish) – a delicacy that is still served at Vaxholm’s tavern.

Public transport works great

You can get here easily from Stockholm by bus, ferry or car all year around. Our nearest airport is Arlanda, but you can also fly to Skavsta. Subway + Bus: From Stockholm C take the metro / red line towards Mörby Center. At Tekniska Högskolan take bus 670 towards Vaxholm. Ferry: You can take a ferry from Stockholm to Vaxholm. Check the schedule on www.waxholmsbolaget.se Car: About 30 min drive from Stockholm city. Drive E18 from Stockholm towards Norrtälje. After 17 kilometers take road 274 towards Vaxholm.
