Nice outdoor seating and great food. We love the cheese curd appetizer (Will calls it his cheese curd salad which makes it sound a bit healthier ). If you’re looking for something a bit more heart healthy, the Brussels sprout app is delicious. My favorite sandwich is the chicken pub.. yum!

Fantastic breakfast spot. You can’t go wrong any time of day though. In the off season they have great weekly specials. $5 pizza Monday, $10 pasta Thursday, etc. Nice spot to have a romantic dinner too:)

The owner Mike has done a tremendous job redefining this building and creating what it is today. Stiggs is heavily involved in the community and provides free meals to families in need.. thousands to date! The beer is made on site and they have a diverse selection so everyone is bound to find something they like. It’s a “come as you are” kind of place with a large bar and lots of welcoming faces. Also, can’t forget to mention their smoked meats! They have the tastiest meat in town! Great BBQ!

Great local Tex-Mex restaurant. Most who visit the area look forward to coming back to Red Mesa for its quality food, tasty Margaritas (Mango-Habenero) is my favorite;) live music a few days a week.

It's been renamed as 'Gilda's' after the gentleman who owns and runs it. A fantastic bakery with traditional French pastries, quiche and the best crepes you will ever find. There are NO DOUGHNUTS here.. but you'll be far from disappointed. This is one of our 'must-do's' while in town. In the summer, plan to be patient and enjoy sitting outside people watching just like they do in France while you wait for your order. yum!

This is our absolute favorite place to visit because it’s only open the the warm months and you can pull right up in the boat! Plenty of dock space and helpful staff to get you tied up. Great Caribbean environment, family friendly, and tasty rum cocktails. This is a must do while you’re here!
If boating isn’t your thing, you can easily access from Charlevoix. It’s just 4-5 miles south of
Town, but if coming by way of Boyne City the best, and most fun thing to do is access by the ferry! It’s $3 per car but the ferry only fits 4 cars so there is almost always a wait. Park the car along the shoulder of the road and hop on the ferry as a pedestrian for free immediately! It only takes about 5 minutes to get across the channel.

Barrel Back has a tremendous waterfront location and view of Walloon Lake from east end so the summer sunsets are priceless. There is a fantastic bar below the restaurant/bar that’s even more casual. Expect to wait for a drink in the summer but trust us, it’s worth it.

Beaches!
This is our favorite local beach. You only need to lug your stuff about 30 yards from the car. The state park requires a longer walk. The only bathroom at the park is Porta potty, but it is the nicest one you will ever do your number in:)

Easy to pull up by boat. Volleyball court, camp store nearby and plenty of room to spread out. There are grills and tables and the beach is well maintained and clean. Park entrance fee (a few dollars per car) or state park sticker on license plate required.

Everything here including the tonic is made from scratch. They serve the most glam cocktails in town. Nice hangout spot and you can bring your own food from anywhere in town because they don’t serve any.
