Beaches ⛱ & Nature 🦥
Playa Negra is the first of Puerto Viejo's beaches located directly before town and Puerto's only black sand beach. A secluded beach great for walking with kilometers of undisturbed coast line with very little development. Take caution of swimming alone here. The water is typically calmer with less currents in the portion nearest town marked by one of the old shipwrecks.
