Return home from a day at the best beaches in the world, and enjoy a tropical cocktail or glass of wine while walking to the Hanalei Bay sunset overlook, facing Makana ('The Gift') mountain. The St. Regis is less than a half-mile walk or drive. They offer a comfortable bar for sunset lanai cocktails, fabulous brunch at Makana Terrace restaurant, or the famous Jean-George Vongerichten 'Kauai Grill' featuring the areas' best of the best local ingredients. Pu'u Po'a beach right in front of the St. Regis, a short walk either down the side of the hotel or through it, is open to the public as are all beaches on Kaua'i. There are also a couple of more secluded pristine beaches that are only walkable (Hideaways and Pali Ke Kua). Lacking public parking, they are almost impossible for others to get to. Queens Bath is just a 15 min walk away!

The Na Pali Coast is truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. It’s a 17 mile stretch of Kauai’s coast with jagged cliffs and ridges, beautiful water, remote waterfalls, caves, and secluded beaches. Much of the coast is only accessible by air, boat, or by foot.
Star Na Pali Snorkel BBQ Sail, which included breakfast, lunch, snorkeling, crazy views, and we even saw dolphins! This tour costs $185/adult, but trust us, it’s worth it!
They have other tour options and if you want something a little more adventurous, we suggest their Na Pali Raft Day Expedition! While a little pricier than the snorkel BBQ sail ($225/adult), this tour is a little bit longer, and in addition to the beautiful coastal views, you get to go into sea caves, snorkel at a remote beach, and see an ancient Hawaiian village.

Many guests say that is one of their top highlights and it is walkable! Parking can be impossible; the 15 min walk will probably save you time.
Visit Queen’s Bath, which is a really unique tide pool/sinkhole surrounded by igneous rock! Queen’s Bath requires a 0.8-mile round trip hike down to them and the hike is a bit slick, muddy, and steep.
One very big warning for Queen’s Bath is that it is dangerous and people have been swept out to sea. It is recommended to visit only during the summer months, as the surf is too big in the winter.
There is a gate at the trailhead that is locked when it’s too dangerous, so if the gate is locked, do not attempt to hike down! Also, make sure you check the surf reports beforehand.

Join us on an unforgettable, awe-inspiring aerial adventure over the Garden Isle of Kauai. You'll experience breathtaking Hanapepe Valley with sweeping views of the lush valleys below. Plunging down a 400 foot (120m) cliff, view the famed and privately owned waterfall “Jurassic Park” falls or Manawaiopuna Falls. Olokele Canyon and majestic Waimea Canyon, rightly known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” This canyon has unique geologic history as it was formed not only by erosion but also by the catastrophic collapse of the volcano that crated Kauai millions of years ago.

We like to park at Shipwrecks beach, just past the Gand Hyatt, and hike to Maha’ulepu. The trail to Makauwahi Cave is along the way, and I recommend checking it out. If you keep hiking past Maha’ulepu Beach, you’ll have to hop over a barbwire cattle fence at Kamala Point and find Ha'ula Beach, a secluded beach.
