Looking for a Brew?
Not sure if you’ve heard, but Bend has a couple breweries! 😉 Here’s a compilation of our go to spots when we are craving a brew. List is in no particular order, you can’t go wrong with any of these!
Crux has great beer but the outdoor space and view are what makes this one a must. Live music and a large outdoor space for your kids to roam make for a great family brewery. Swing by as the sun goes down for “Sundowner Hour” to save a few bucks and enjoy the sunset!

Swing by the iconic Bend Brewing nestled in along the Deschutes River in downtown Bend. Tough to beat having a glass of Tropic Pines IPA with your feet kicked up looking over the river. Great spot to grab lunch or dinner and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch some live music!

What is that I hear? One of the biggest breweries in Oregon within walking distance from the house? Go for a stroll over to 10 Barrel East by crossing Butler Market on Brinson, make your first right and there she is. Grab a seat at the bar or call ahead and reserve a seat. This place is a go to for most, just don’t remind us Bendites of who has part ownership of it. 😜

Not a brewery, but a great tap house with a wide selection of brews. A modern cabin feel with a loft, fire pits, deep dish pizza truck and right across the street from Box Factory? Can you say Apres Ski?

Looking for an under the radar brewery for some of the best brews in town and away from the crowds? Spider City is the way to go! It is located in SE Bend in an industrial space, so it doesn't get many beauty points, but they've got a good atmosphere, friendly staff and their beer ranks at the top of the list. This is the one the locals go to. Cheers!

Having a couple kids of our own, we know that having a list of good, family friendly spots, is key to a successful trip. While most of the breweries in town are kid friendly, here’s a list of spots that don’t involve
About a 15 minute walk along the canal will get you to Bend Park and Recreation's largest park in town! From the house, cross Butler Market on Brinson and as soon as you cross the bridge over the canal, make a right. Follow the canal trail until you see the park on your left. Home to a frisbee golf course, multiple soccer and baseball fields, playgrounds, dog park and more will be sure to provide something for every one.

Bend's most popular park centrally located in downtown Bend. Great spot for a stroll while checking out downtown. Plenty of geese for the kids to see. A couple notes about the geese:
- They can be a little ornery , so keep your distance.
- Refrain from feeding them, but if you can't help yourself, don't feed them bread. Their stomachs do not digest it well and can develop health issues.
- Watch your step near the river... ;)
