Sightseeing
If you are visiting during peak season (Mar-October) you may need a reservation. At a minimum, plan on getting to the park no later than 8am.
Favorite Hikes with Kids
The windows section of the park has a high concentration of arches with very short hikes. We love Double Arch (.5 Miles) in this area. Highly scenic and approachable for kids.
Note: if your trip coincides with a new moon (i.e. no moon) head into the park at night in this section. Incredible stars that are better viewed through an arch.
Landscape Arch 1.6m roundtrip. Very unique large arch with what appears to be paper thin rock supporting it.

Our favorite hike in Moab hands down. Flat hike that a crosses small stream and ends at Morning Glory Bridge. Dog friendly on a leash and a great alternative to the busy national parks. About 4 miles roundtrip

Huge park that has 3 sections, Island in the Sky, Needles and The Maze. Island in the Sky is by far the closest and most accessible.
Grand View Overlook (2 mi) has incredible panoramic views.
Most famous hike is probably Mesa Arch (.5 mi). You would be hard pressed to find a calendar of Utah without one picture of Mesa Arch. Parking lot gets crowded early.

Nice 3mi roundtrip hike that is non-technical. Dog friendly and usually helps you beat the crowds.

Biking in Moab
As for bike shops, I personally have had good experiences with Chili Pepper and Poison Spider. For any biking trail, my favorite trail app is Trail Forks.
For families with young kids....Moab has limited options. But the Klonzo, Brand and Deadhorse Point areas have decent low technical options. Most trail systems in Moab are a bit more technical than your average biking location.
If you are a hardcore biker, you likely already know what rides you want to hit, happy to recommend. I like Mag 7 area for shorter rides, and The Whole Enchilada for the ultimate Moab experience.
