We will usually head to the kids' playground near the Blowfish Cafe to play on the swings and then head back to the house for breakfast; the blowfish also makes a good breakfast if you feel like a treat!

Another great coffee shop we go to is the Buyi cafe, which is back from the beach a little, maybe a 50-metre walk at 31 Old Bar Road, the coffee is excellent, and we highly recommend their toasted Ruben sandwich.

For kiddies, if Old Bar Beach is a bit too rough and tumble (which sometimes it can be, depending on conditions), head to nearby Wallaby Point Beach - the lagoon is calm and ideal for a relaxed, safe day with kids.

There are two ways to get to the beach; via the surf club (walk outside the house, cross the road and walk about 100m to your left). Or, if you step outside the house and take a right hand turn to go on the walking track behind the school fence - you can get to the beach this way but also to the Boogie Woogie Hotel and Flow Bar (approx 50 m walk on the walking track as you exit the house to your right).

Cleaning
If you are like us and have kids and want a bit of a break from the daily tidy, Mandy Wichard is our fabulous cleaner and if you contact her on 0423 457 995, she can come to give the place a once over whenever you need it. Mandy's rate is $45 per hour, and we will usually book her for 2 hrs daily when we stay to make it feel more like a holiday.

Super Market - Coles
We have left some tea, coffee and milk in the cupboard and fridge (if you need more and other supplies, Coles at 54 Old Bar Road is a 2 min drive away, they also deliver). We do a lot of roast chicken in the oven, or the BBQ is out the back of the house if you fancy grilling!
