This olde world pub is just 2 minutes walk away from St Peter’s Studio, out of the blue gate, turn right, down the hill - and you have arrived!
Lovely traditional Cornish pub, really good food and very warm welcome. Huge amount of outside seating too - but you need to use plastic glasses due to the proximity to the beach. We never miss an opportunity to have a drink at The Sloop!

An excellent food venue directly on the seafront with a wide range of small plates & very reasonably priced wine by the glass or bottle - highly recommended

Falmouth
Excellent quirky range of independent shops with a fabulous range of places to eat - Falmouth when combined with the National Maritime Museum is a whole day out that is very enjoyable!
As part of a family day out only half an hour drive away from St Ives. The museum itself can fill half a day - with a large number of really interesting & changing displays. Currently there is a ‘Monsters of the Deep’ display alongside lots of interactive & climbable boats. Excellent cafe & shop. Pay once & get free admission for a year

A wonderfully quirky town filed with independent shops and eateries, home to the amazing National Maritime Museum- a huge favourite with our family! Falmouth has plentiful parking in winter and a ‘park and ride’ and ‘park and float’ in the summer seasons

St Ives can be fully accessed on foot.
You will have a paid for car parking space at St Ives Rugby Club, included in the price of your holiday. There is a very regular shuttle bus running up and down from the rugby club to a stop near The Tate. The Tate is approx a 5 min walk from the house.

There is an excellent bus station in St Ives!
It’s really easy to travel across Cornwall to Lands End / The Lizard from the St Ives bus station just up from the railway station. There is both a comprehensive rail and bus network linking St Ives with further afield. Many of the buses are open top - making the journey part of the fun.
