Parks & Nature
Oslo Botanical Garden is free, and only three minutes away from our apartment. It is great in the spring, summer and fall, but also worth a visit during the winter or on rainy days, as you can visit the greenhouses there.
The garden offers lots of great places to sit and enjoy the flowers, and even has its own picnic area.

Torgata offers a lot of different places to eat and drink. They have everything from burgers to authentic Chinese food, and a lot of different bars to hang out at. Sometimes we don't even have to leave this street to have a complete night out.

Food Scene
Really interesting concept, a collaboration by IKEA and Tine (a Norwegian dairy). Everything inside is from IKEA, while all the food contains products from Tine. The food is both extremely tasty and cheap, so a lot of young people hang out here during the day. Recommended if you want to try some pretty classic Norwegian breakfast food.

Cheap and tasty Vietnamese food. The restaurant itself doesn't look too good, but the food more than makes up for that.
