Some of the best Italian food outside of Italy- no need to trek to the North End for some filling and delicious plates. A very well known spot, with wait times that can exceed 2 hours... but worth it especially given the proximity to my place. If you can put in a reservation and come back to the condo for some wine while you wait, the time flies right by.

A bit pricier, but well worth it for the food and the stunning views of Boston across the harbor. Highly recommend going just to get a great view of the city. Also, there is a free boat which operates between this restaurant and it's sister site, Pier 6, across the harbor in Charlestown.

Cider brewery within walking distance... need I say more. Tours book up well in advance, so get ahead and book online before your trip. However, anyone can walk in and have 5 samples for free when they're open, and drink them right on the floor of the brewery.

New restaurant in a location which has housed a few hip dining options in Eastie. Great cocktails, a long swooping bar, and solid dinner options as well (though a bit small portioned). Walking distance makes it even better.
