Food Scene

The Floridian is my absolute favorite place to eat in St Augustine. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. Their food is all locally sourced. There is a great selection of craft beer, cocktails are fantastic and the service is wonderful. Seating is both inside and out. They are one of the few places in town that take reservations. Call: 904-829-0655. "N Grits is my personal favorite. Dog friendly with outside seating.

Family owned and made from scratch kind of restaurant. Fresh Local food and excellent burgers. They usually have a really good special on the menu. If you like craft beer, they have a great selection here. Excellent service every time! Sunday Brunch. Fun fact: Gas has been featured on the Food Network (My Guilty Pleasures and Ginormous Foods) and the Cooking Channel (Junkfood Flip)!

If coffee is your thing you will love the Kookaburra. They have 4 locations but downtown is their original spot. The Iced Aussie is perfect on a hot day and the Honey Badger is my favorite on a cold day.

Parks & Nature

Vilano Beach is about 3 miles away. Walking the beach is a must. If you head towards the right and walk past the inlet, you will get a nice view of the city from the water. I often find little sharks teeth while walking near the rocks on the other side of the inlet.

The building itself is a sight to see. It was formally the Alcazar Hotel, built by Henry Flagler in the late 1800's. It's had one of the worlds largest indoor swimming pools at that time. The Cafe Alcazar is now located there and it is a great place to start or end your visit of this special place.

Old Coast Ales is a fairly new brewery in the area. They have a great atmosphere and a great beer selection. They don't serve food but you can grab some delicious tacos next door.
