Marloth boasts two shopping centres, one selling basic commodities and the other a newly opened Spar. Wood is available to buy within Marloth too. There are shopping centres outside of Marloth. Malelane has a Spar and PnPay. Komatipoort has a Spar and Shoprite. Bottles stores and butchers can be found here too. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN SOUTH AFRICA YOU HAVE TO BUY ALL ALCOHOL, EXCEPT WINE FROM A BOTTLE STORE.

Travelling to Marloth Park
Marloth is situated within a malaria zone. Before you travel, please visit your health care provider to discuss taking anti malaria tablets. It is advisable to cover up during the hours of darkness and to use bug spray. These are readily available to buy in the supermarket. We provide a mosquito net over your bed, which we advise you use each night. You may also wish to spray your rooms with Peaceful Sleep, a bug spray, readily available in stores.

Having a vehicle is essential as there is no public transport in Marloth Park. We advise that you do not travel to Marloth during the hours of darkness.

Hat, walking shoes, lightweight shirt, trousers and raincoat for summer months. Sunscreen and bug spray. Please note that the supermarkets are well stocked with sunscreen, insect repellent and any toiletries.
