A beautiful historic spa town. There is lots to do in Buxton and it is very easy to get there on the train. Parking at Chapel train station is free so we recommend leaving the car there.

A lovely peak-district village with a number of excellent pubs and restaurants. Hayfield is where the mass trespass of Kinder Scout started in 1932 and it remains an excellent place for beautiful walks. I used to live there so ask me for any recommendations!

I have just discovered this place and my 2 year old absolutely loved it. He spent hours catching plastic ducks and paddling in the fountain. I would advise you to eat before you go as the cafe is expensive. Also take my nets with you save buying them.
