There are usually 2 or 3 food trucks here open various times.
Ok. I am recommending their fried chicken. We grab a bag and head out on the lake. It is better than Super1 but you didn't hear that from me.

You need reservations to drive the "Road to The Sun".
Recreation gov (make an account before 8am) choose going to the sun road west entrance
8am book reservation, you may have to re-enter reservation and refresh a few times. Keep trying It's like getting tickets to a Taylor Swift concert. Reservation is good for a 3 day window.
I would recommend going early as the park fills up.
We head up and have breakfast at Glacier Highland Restaurant. Amazing pancakes
You can drive the Going To The Sun road yourself or there is a bus service. The Lake McDonald Lodge is something not to be missed. The building is amazing. The restaurant Russell's Fireside Dining is wonderful. We had Trout and after my kids played outside by the water.

Fishing Rules
All non-members must have on their person, whenever engaged in fishing on the Reservation, a valid Flathead Reservation Conservation License/State Conservation License with a joint Fishing License. Refer to management unit regulations for special daily and possession limits.
A Tribal Conservation License 19.00 and a Tribal Prevention Stamp 14.00 (or 33.00 for the year) Both can be purchased at Wal-mart.

Permits are required to hike some areas located on tribal land. The town of Polson is a Reservation.

Around the lake...Hwy 93 vs Hwy 35
Hwy 35 is a 2 lane road. Can be a bit slower but not to be missed. You will pass by the Cherry Orchards and experience the incredible Flathead Lake shoreline.
Hwy 93 is a 2-4 lane road in areas.

This is a good site to gather information. I would recommend getting the CSKT Conservation Permit at Wal-Mart just to be on the safe side if you plan on doing some hiking. They will stop you on the trails
