Sightseeing

You'll want to leave the car behind anyways to avoid parking and enjoy the quaint neighborhood. Only a 15-minute leisurely walk from the house, it is safe at all hours. We like to walk down Broadway, take a left on the small street Jewett, and it takes you all the way down to the shops.
You can spend a couple hours looking at the goods, the old red fisherman's hut we call Motiff #1, and adjacent Front Beach. There are a few good sit-down restaurants to pick from, and a couple places to catch a night-cap.

This lush park is across the street from Front Beach and has a new playground, a pond, and two acres of green space. Access via Beach Street, Mill Lane, or a somewhat hidden staircase off Kings Lane. This meadow and pond are a part of Rockport's early history. Two separate, very old cemeteries are nearby.
