You can get a taxi, bus etc. But the best way to travel in Hanoi is motobike. If you can drive I will rent you a bike if you want. If you're not a good driver so you can easy get a grabbike through the application like Grab or Be or Gojek...

Take off your shoes when you get in Vietnamese house
Normally Vietnamese like to keep their house's floor are clean. So It's pretty impolite when you walk on floor by dirty shoes. You should change your shoes by the clean shoes before go inside (Normally, Vietnamese will prepare clean shoes for guest to change)
