City/town information
Bracebridge is a very pretty little town. Here, you will find everything from coffee, ice-cream, shopping (try the locals before you go to the big box stores even though we found they also often carry local produce), a movie theatre and even a waterfall.
The farmers market on Saturday mornings is a treat. Visit this website for more information https://bracebridgefarmersmarkets.ca/

Kirby's Beach is perfect for children. Located on the shore of lovely Lake Muskoka, the sandy beach area is rimmed by a grassy play and picnic area and a playground, as well as washrooms and ample parking. The water off the beach is extremely shallow, meaning it's easy to walk farther out and away from the youngsters playing and splashing about on the shoreline.
There's also plenty of shade here, too, so bring a folding chair and a picnic (tables provided).

Relax!
Breathe the air. Listen to the loons. Watch the stars. Unplug.

Hot-tub/Sauna
We have tried to build a bit of a Nordic experience in the hot-tub and sauna area of our property, complete with a cold shower. Highly recommended you take advantage of this!
Hint: cold plunges in the lake are not for the faint of heart, but highly recommended if you can push yourself a little! Likewise, take advantage of the hammock to give your body some rest from the hot and the cold.

Walk/Jog around the lake
As you go up the drive way, if you turn left you will find a great walking or jogging road that has a few up and down slopes for extra fun :) If you keep on walking, you will eventually get to a forest which, if you follow the marked path, will lead you to a road and all the way back around the South side of the lake (this is ~ a 2 hour hike). In the forested area, take a moment to admire the variety of mushrooms!
Of note: do not cross into or hike in the forest across the street from our driveway. It is a hunting ground. We want you safe and sound so you can come back one day :)

Paddle/Kayak/SUP to "picnic island"
As you exit our front water "bay" and turn right, you will be able to see an island with a few trees on it. A perfect place to eat your packed lunch, swim, fish from or see the sunset.

Trampoline and Zipline
For some intense exercise, there is a trampoline in the open air area behind the cottage and to the left. Kids can enjoy some supervised fun on the zip line in the same area.
