Sightseeing

Dickson Street is a 1-mile walk from The Greenhouse where you’ll find a number of restaurants and bars, as well as venues like George’s Majestic Lounge and the Walton Arts Center. Dickson is also the focal point of Bikes, Blues & BBQ each September. While there are a handful of chain restaurants, we always encourage you to eat local! See our suggestions for good eats below.

Arts & Culture

We cannot recommend Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art highly enough! Though it’s a 30-minute drive north of Fayetteville, it is well worth the effort to get there. The museum is free to visit! It’s artwork alone warrants a trip, but the architecture, sculpture trail and Frank Lloyd Wright house only add to the experience! Plan to spend at least two hours on site.

Entertainment & Activities

If you’d like to walk to a football game, head down the driveway, make a right and then another right on Prospect. Take a left on Willow and a right on Maple. Walk straight down Maple about a mile, pass campus and all the sorority houses and you’ll land at the U of A Football Stadium. Alternatively, about $7 and 5 minutes will have you at the game via Lyft!
