Cumberland Knob is about 20 Minutes south on the BRPW. It is a fun, wet hike. Crossing lots of water and falls. It has nice bathroom Facilities and a play area for kids, dogs and picnic areas.

Buffalo Mountain Hike- Head North, (left) on the BRPW to milepost 174. Turn left onto Conners Grove Rd. Go 1.4 miles and turn left onto Halls Store Rd. Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto Mole Rd. Go .9 ml to the end and follow the steep incline to the top and turn right. Follow this to the trailhead parking lot. The trail is a switchback, quite easy and short. At the top are phenomenal views and picnicking areas. Explore all around the top as there are other trails going down.

All along the Blue Ridge Parkway there’s all kinds of hiking trails overlooks, etc. Along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Meadows of Dan which is approximately a 30 to 40 minute drive has Mabry mill. It is highly worth the drive.
