Excellent food in a popular village destination. We enjoyed an evening meal in the Map room. The pub has a great old world Dickensian atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service friendly and helpful.

Recommend having a light lunch at the visitors centre and walking from there to the stones. You get wonderful expansive views and you can get close up and get great photos all the way round the stone circle.

Explore over one thousand years of history in one of England's greatest cathedrals. I recommend booking a tour of the exterior including peaceful gardens and Vicars Close claimed to be the oldest purely residential street in Europe and is still home to the cathedral's vicars to this day.
