Food scene
South Haven is busy even during off-peak time. If you are interested in take-out, it requires planning that morning. Otherwise, you may find yourself scrambling as we have. On those days, we have always been able to get takeout from the local Mexican restaurants (Paraiso or Los Ranchos). That said, we did recently wait for almost an hour for our Paraíso takeout only to then be told they were out of things like beans (the only protein my 10 year old was willing to eat from there).
This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. The food is good, they are known for their martinis, and the kids' menu is one of the best.

We love Cafe Julia's food and it’s an easy walk from the condo. They have smoothies our girls love and have several vegan options.
-Vegan chocolate truffles are amazing
-Bohemian wrap is something I could eat daily (I do add cheese though)

This is a very short drive from the condo, but if downtown is too busy, it is a wonderful option. From a fabulous guest: "They have a big kids menu and lots of dietary friendly options including vegan pizza... They also allowed you to buy individual cans of beer with the order."

Kid friendly activities
We love to check out the library (it’s closed on the weekends). The kids section has coloring pages and bookmarks for them to paint. They also organize activities for the kids throughout the summer so be sure to check out the schedule! (Closed Sunday’s)
South Haven Memorial Library
