Hands down best wine bar in the city. Owner is generally around. His enthusiasm for the wine will rub off on you! Funky beers too.

Cocktails. Ooo delicious cocktails in a gorgeous environment. Sort of tucked away and little known so you’ll hopefully get a seat on a busy festival evening. The martini comes ice cold with a side of cheesy stuffed olives.

If you love a long walk and some good views, I’d recommend Arthur’s Seat, followed by Carlton Hill and finally the Walter Scott monument. Three of my favourite peaks. Each gives a new perspective on the city.
