City/town information
Corvallis means 'Heart of the Valley', lying, as it does, between the coast range and the Cascade Mountain range. You are just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean, and an hour and a half to two hours from beautiful trails, swim holes and more in the Cascades. Our summers are mostly dry and not humid. The rest of the year is damp and fairly mild.
Corvallis is a university town, with great trails and wildlife refuges nearby. It has a pedestrian friendly down town area with a lot of independent locally owned businesses, a vibrant farmer's market and many neighborhood parks.
