If you have some time to kill and want to explore the area a bit I would recommend a ride to Deer Creek. You will find this state park has a lot to offer, from hiking, fishing and dinning at the lodge. Deer Creek lake is about a 15 min. drive from your stay.

From the house you are minutes ride the trail. The trail runs from Washington Court House to Chillicothe 34.8 miles in total. The trail will take you through wooded areas and farmland along Paint Creek and the Scioto river.
