A hip neighbourhood.
Hip, buzzing Libération is known for its specialty food shops and wine cellars, and restaurants serving Niçoise, global and fusion cuisine. A lively market on Place du Général de Gaulle offers produce and specialties like olive oil. Landmarks include the modern, white concrete Sainte Jeanne d'Arc Church, and the imposing old train station, Gare du Sud, now transformed into public library Raoul Mille.
