A short walk from the apartment. This small traditional looking, formal but friendly restaurant is my all time favorite. Food and wine are delicious and there’s a way about how they bring all their appetizer menu to your table that makes it so special. You help yourself to whatever you want. After appetizers you will normally have appetite for either a first or second course, rarely both. And you’d better leave some space for when they pile all their homemade desserts on your table. Again, you help yourself to delicious cakes, meringues, hot chocolate and gelato… Unbelievable! Highly recommended in autumn during mushroom and truffle season ;)
On the expensive side but worth every penny. No outdoor seating. Booking advisable.

Outdoors can be a bit smelly because you are in a food market.

This informal restaurant behind the Mercato delle Erbe is for refined palate foodies! On the expensive side considering portions. This restaurant is not so much about quantity as about flavors. I really enjoyed my food.

This is a traditional osteria that has not been renovated. Located in the Cirenaica district outside the center. Traditional bolognese menu in a true bolognese location. Summer outdoor seating. Notice the traditional bolognese interior, wooden tables with benches. Very special large oil paintings by the grandfather who lived in Africa during the war and Italian occupation. They have gone dark with age.
