Sight-seeing
Sidi Bou Said is located on top of a steep cliff, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The views are absolutely phenomenal and the town has an intense feel of artistry and craftsmanship.
We recommend visiting one of the art galleries ( our pick: Ghaya Gallery & the A Gorgi Gallery) and visiting “café des délices” for an amazing view (best at sunsets).

The medina of Tunis is a Unesco world heritage and is home to numerous covered souqs selling everything from shoes to shisha pipes, as well as bustling cafes, back streets full of artisans at work and residential areas punctuated by grand, brightly painted doorways. Historic palaces, hammams, mosques and madrassas (schools for study of the Quran) are scattered throughout, many lavishly decorated with tiles, carved stucco and marble columns.
We recommend tasting Tunisian food in the “Dar El Jeld” restaurant and viewing the city skyline from “café Panorama”.
Ps: if you have to choose between the medina of Tunis and Sidi Bou Said, go to Sidi Bou Said.
