The continental divide runs across the peak.

The road is a bit hairy and steep so make sure that you are comfortable driving up and down steep and twisty roads! Be warned though, the price of admission is not cheap! Summer admission price is $15 per person or $50 per vehicle (limit to 5 passengers). The cog railway to Pikes Peak has been discontinued as of 2018 so driving or taking a bus tour are your only options other than a strenuous hike to get to the top.
