If you just want a good old-fashioned chippy, the Gorgie Fish Bar is the best one in the area. It's only a 10-minute walk down the road but they'll also deliver if you order via Just Eat.

Sightseeing

A castle right in the heart of the city centre. Even if you don't go inside, it's worth walking up the Royal Mile and onto the castle esplanade, where you'll get great views of the city down below.
