Arid dessert-like area near the shores of the Gulf of Panama. Drive on Carretera Nacional in the direction of Divisa from La Villa or Chitré and take the right at the sign of Paris (yeah! Paris but not the French town) and follow the signs to Parque Nacional Sarigua.

Pure nature and pretty beach. Keep in mind that you are not allowed to throw trash (take your trash back with you) nor hunt animals.
Upon arrival you will be charged a small national park fee. You get there by a 30 min (approx.) small boat ride from Playa El Arenal in Pedasí. Costs around $50 for the boat though and that does NOT include entrance to the island.

If you need transport to Chitré or Las Tablas (and further) you can walk to the Carretera Nacional (3 blocks away) and hail them.
