The best local seafood shack you will find in all of Jersey City and NYC! Better than the lobster place in Red Hook, hands down.

Great rooftop in the middle of downtown JC. Crispy thin brick oven pizza paired with flirty cocktails. Good place to meet locals to mingle.

My favorite outdoor restaurants in Jersey City
If you are looking for a quick bite to eat after your arrival head to O'Leary's right around the corner from the house on Garfield Ave. They have a nice selection of burgers and finger foods plus a nice selection of beers on tap.
When you walk towards Pacific and Communipaw, you will see the latest hip restaurants and cafes that are popping up in my neighborhood. I usually start my walk at the Grind Shop and get a latte and a pastry and head over to Liberty State Park. For an afternoon snack, you can sit at the bar and enjoy a glass of rose and some home cookin' at Harry's Daughter. They have the best grilled mahi mahi salad.
Hooked is a fun seafood joint that is byob and casual dining. There is a club called the Factory next door happening on a Saturday night.
Sam a.m. is a great brunch place that is open from morning to early evening. The food is always delicious. I recommend their waffles!
Get a cup of joe and pastries for a quick meal before heading to Liberty State Park for a sun-filled day at the park. You can take a ferry to Statue of Liberty or downtown Manhattan.
