This is the biggest supermarket in the historic center, and it’s very close to my apartment. It’s open until 21:00 every day and until 20:00 on Sunday.

The fastest way to reach the apartment from the bus station by bus is number 14, that stops in via della Colonna. The bus stop is “Pergola” and it’s about 250m from the apartment. There are a lot of deviations in this period in Florence due to the construction works so please check the site ataf.it before. This station is closed in this moment, it should be reopened soon. Other solution is C2 bus, that stops in “Ghibellina Pepi” but you have to walk about 600m.

you’ll have the opportunity to visit the fascinating “Laghetto delle Colonne” carved by an ancient quarry of “pietra serena” (grey stone), surrounded by a thick forest of cypresses, oaks and holms oaks and enjoy a tasty snack.

There are few designer shops in via Borgo Pinti (next to the apartment) that are owned by designers directly, so the stuff is original and the prices are correct (they don’t have resale commissions). I now a lot of local people that love to shop here even if it’s not a shopping area.
