Our Local Favorite Spots
We have some great local foodie spots to eat.
For dinner, we love Jardines de San Juan : http://www.jardinesrestaurant.com/ They have a beautiful outdoor garden and delicious, fresh Mexican food (our favorites: Manuel's Burrito and Nico's Camerones.) If you like sushi, we have a new place that we have yet to try, but it's getting rave reviews: Ianak, 313 Third St. in San Juan Bautista.
For breakfast, Vertigo (of Alfred Hitchcock fame) Coffee Roasters is amazing. Try the burrito bowl with avocado or breakfast sandwich, both are delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Authentic sushi, handmade at the bar. Inaka is as good as you'll have in San Francisco. We love the Special Rolls (San Juan and Spicy Charlie).

If you like *real* milkshakes, a serious burger, and salty French fries, don't miss JJ's Homemade Burgers. We love the Californian with fresh avocado and cheese. Julie also loves the fish tacos, with shrimp. Just don't count calories here, life is too short!

This is our son, Jack's, FAVORITE pizza (and he's tried lots of good pizza!) Seriously, for a chain, Pizza Factory makes a pretty good piece of pie! Jack orders the Canadian Bacon and Pineapple. We love the sausage, artichoke hearts and garlic. Order takeout and bring up to the tent to enjoy with a glass of wine on the deck. They also have a salad bar and other yummy sides.
