The London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo. It was opened in London on 27 April 1828, and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study.

Regent's Park is one of the Royal Parks of London, combines large open spaces with tree-lined pathways, formal gardens, and four children’s playgrounds and is the largest grass area for sports in Central London and offers a wide variety of activities, an Open-Air Theatre, the London Zoo, gardens and a boating lake.

It is also very close to Euston Square on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, which is at the other side of the hospital building.
