This corner coffee shop is perfectly placed cady corner to Bixby Park and The Bluff. It is spacious without feeling like a fast food dining lounge.
The pastries I've tried thus far include the cheesecake brownie (yum, rich, moist, slightly crumbly) and bran muffins (great for a sweet treat with less self-judgment).
Prices are good, wi-fi robust, and it's quiet inside despite being on a busy street.

Great place to check out for a down to earth experience. Staff was friendly and full of laughs. A "regular" place to go for the locals. Good comfort food.
Fluffy pancakes!! Fresh coffee.. cheesy omelet and sweet jelly for your toast.
The real comfort is you can buy loaves of sweet breads..

This place is located on Retro Row on Fourth St right across from Hippea. The decor and atmosphere are awesome! Very well decorated and has a really cool laid back vibe. They have seating inside and outside, both of which are excellent.
Monday's are $5 margaritas! Our waiter says he likes to take Monday's to challenge customers to out drink whoever they came to dine with. Haha.
The service was fast, friendly and helpful. They will answer questions with knowledge and honesty.

Francelli's is so delicious! I promise you it's the best Italian in the Long Beach area. Real Italian food, not that cheap Costco tasting watered down stuff at other spots.
It looks divey and isn't easy to spot but put superficial looks aside and focus on quality.
The prices are so much cheaper than other Italian spots (yay)
The only downside is the parking situation and they only open after 4 pm so no Italian lunch here :(

I order the Sultan dish which comes with two pieces of lamb chops, two pieces of tiger shrimp, and three pieces of filet mignon. For the sides, I got their Open Sesame salad and Hummus. The lamb chop was cooked perfectly and has a rich flavor. The tiger shrimp was good and the filet mignon was soft and tender and easy to eat and not chewy.
The lamp chop was not chewy and was very soft and the meat melts right in your mouth. I enjoyed their salad since it came with feta cheese which I really like with my salad. The hummus was great and went well with their complementary pita bread.

Delicious, authentic Thai restaurant. The dishes are flavorful. You can really tell the freshness of the ingredients used as well as the quality. Service staff is very attentive and friendly. Small dining area, but they do have an outdoor patio available. The atmosphere and ambiance are laid back and homey. Very clean. Small parking area in the back of the restaurant, but plenty of street parking available. Price is on the moderate side.

The reason this place is good is that if you are (vegan and) literally too broke to even buy potato tacos, you can buy a single flour tortilla and sit there eating the free giant fried Poblano peppers. I mastered the fried-pepper burrito.
This is the most ghetto location in Long Beach, which gives it its charm. The others are going legit, with fancy signs and espressos and basic health code compliance - but this is the holdout.

I'm well overdue for my review of the Yard House. This is my go-to place for a quick night out with the hubby. The ambiance is always really nice and somewhat romantic because of its dark features.
I like to sit outside on the patio and overlook for the marina. If it's a really busy night, which some nights it can be, I opt for first available and it's usually on the inside but I don't mind.

Great Thai Food. Been open for more than 30 years. I have been looking for a Thai food spot for a while now here in Long Beach. There are many Thai restaurants here in Long Beach but nothing great. A house converted to its left side a hair salon, and right side a Thai eatery. The owner, Lam, is actually a barber by profession and it's his uncle and aunt who are the ones doing the cooking. Nice outdoor patio with one side sheltered from the street by rose bushes, bougainvillea and lantana vines, succulents and even a dwarf fruit tree.
We ordered Tom Yum soup with shrimp, beef salad (Nam Tok), Panang beef, and Thai iced tea. OMG, my taste buds were ecstatic!

I walked up we could smell the food and it smelled amazing! We ordered the Chile Verde plate, the chile Verde tamale with a shredded beef taco with refried beans, and one shredded beef enchilada with black beans; it was all very delicious. I always stick to my go-to, which is the regular chicken katsu plate. Crispy and perfectly-breaded, I appreciate how the chicken to bread ratio is pretty generous. The macaroni salad wasn't as good as I remembered it at the other locations but it suffices. Dip the katsu in the sauce that's provided and it makes for a delicious meal. You'll leave feeling satisfied every time.

The food here is outstanding. I'm a big falafel fan, I've had them all over the world, and these are well made and really tasty. The hummus is excellent, I love the big fluffy pitas - not necessarily traditional, but delicious and they work just fine with the other items so who cares - and their fries are way better than they have any right to be (if a little oily). In terms of quality, this place is a gem.

Two of my favorite things are kbbq and burritos. How could I possibly go wrong eating at Seoulmate?
I love that this place is delicious and affordable.
Additionally, add-ons are cheap too! only $.50 for a fried egg and $.75 for avocado. I get both.
I've tried the Old Boy and Spicy Pork Burrito. I like the Old Boy a little better, but both were delicious.
Ask for their house sauce.
The only downside is the outside eating area and I came on a super hot day. Yes, it is covered and has fans ventilating the area, but hot and stuff is still hot and stuffy.
I will DEFINITELY be back.

The sauces and seafood here are BOMB.COM. *Disclaimer* I almost always get the seafood "to-go" here. Lines are always atrocious and the service isn't all that great. They have a separate area (across the entryway) designated for efficient pick-up of your order.
Pros: the shebang sauce- mixture of butter, hot pepper, and lemon... is to DIE for. I love this sauce with the big juicy shrimps. You can order the sauce as spicy or mild as you wish. Beware, the triple X sauce (hottest sauce) is not for avid spicy food enthusiasts or the faint of heart. The shebang sauce is spicy as is. There's something really great going on in the kitchen here recently. The new chef is turning out some serious "foodie" eats. I've had dinner there twice now and it's consistently amazing. The first night we tried the Caesar salad, the mushroom appetizer which is a must! and the ribeye steak, so tender! We finished that night off with a pineapple cake and caramel sauce. All of which were perfectly balanced, perfectly seasoned, like melt in your mouth good. Last night we had the burger, which is served on a super fresh brioche bun, with arugula and a delicious savory tomato jam, and crispy fries. We were told the menu will change and feature new items.

What a cute spot! Love the view, and love the art. Expect ~$40 per person, totally worth it if you're accounting for the view and ambiance. Food is not stellar, but definitely not bad. Their happy hour is amazing. Dollar for dollar means the amount you spend on alcohol will go towards your food bill. What's even better is that happy hour is EVERY DAY, even weekends, from 3-7pm.
Yes, the menu can be pricey but they have a ton of deals to make it worth it. On certain days there is no corkage fee so you can BYOB (bring your own bottle... of wine, that is). Open from noon to 2 am each day, they serve stiff drinks at cheap prices, so what more could you ask for? Good music, with a couple pool tables and a jukebox for entertainment. Not generally my scene, but the place is chill nevertheless.
It gets crowded closer to the weekend, but nothing you can't manage. The locals are cool and for my first visit, I felt really comfortable. The only downside, of course, is the parking. Trying to find one nearby can be a chore.
Also, the place is CASH ONLY, so it does dampen your spirits if the plastic is your choice of payment. I believe I did see an ATM machine, so it works out either way.

Nobody was rude, and the bartender was very sweet. I'm a very shy person and it was my first time at a bar and I loved it! Would definitely go again, even if just to watch RuPaul with a crowd in a nice atmosphere.

The sister bar to Broadway. Two pool tables as well, no singing nights (officially) but that doesn't stop people from blaring the jukebox with choice tunes and having impromptu sing-a-longs via glee style. They have discounted mixed drink nights on Wednesday and smoking area outside. Always a great hop in to visit kind of place when doing the Broadway street Bar crawl.

Definitely, recommend this place for Friday nights for Karaoke. Drinks are decently priced. Not sure if or what their happy hour is. Friendly Staff and bartenders. Parking in the rear but scarce, so I recommend an Uber or Lyft. Karaoke is the best part about this bar!

We came here on a Saturday, and it was a great dance vibe. Upstairs has a pretty big dance floor and played great music from classics to new school. Everyone's in a great mood which makes for a great vibe. The first floor had drinks pool and karaoke which was cool.
