The bread is amazing! I'm a bit of a bread snob & found it easy to resist buying bread until I discovered them. And I wish they didn't do such amazing almond croissants, custard tarts and other treats, but they do....

You can enjoy coffee and a croissant in the morning, at the end/beginning of the walkway (across from the elevator that goes from Wilsons Outlook), enjoy fine wine and dinner at Arc, move toward Felons, if beer, fish and chips, pizza and a crowd are more likely to delight you, choose Greca for fine Greek fare, or Mr Percivals for festive fun and delights.

Everything Else

It's an amazing building with free art exhibitions, right on the Brisbane river. You can enjoy the markets on Saturday mornings, eat or just have a drink at Watt, dinner at Alto, see a show, (check for free shows on the weekends), or simply enjoy the wonderful spot that it's at - on the edge of New Farm Park.

Walk along the River walk from the end of Merthyr Road, along the river, under the Story Bridge, on to Boundary Street, up Ivory Street and back under the bridge to Upper Bowen Terrace, down to Wilson's Outlook and back down to home. It's a 40 minute brisk walk, but you're welcome to take your time - THE VIEWS ARE FANTASTIC! PS. Feel free to keep walking into town to shop or not.

Drinks & Nightlife

The beer is fantastic! And I love it's casual feel. You don't need to be young or a hipster, here, but you're welcome if you are.

It's a live music venue, where you can be 20 or 60 and feel equally welcome. There is usually free music on a Sunday afternoon, in the beer garden (which is quite hip without feeling hipster and does not feel like some daggy, smelly old pub).

Parks & Nature

It's fantastic! They have a wonderful playground for children of all ages and there is plenty of room for the adults to play, too. Just go there and walk around! You'll see Tai chi, lots of group training, laying about, canoodling, kicking balls, barbeques and birthday party picnics.

It's close and has some great movies! Just check which cinema, as some of them are quite small and not as comfortable as I'd like them to be.
