Hidden upstairs with only a chalkboard on the sidewalk to tell you that you've found "Barra Verde" is a restaurant/bar/butterfly sanctuary! The salads are huge and yummy, the vibe is a trendy open-air lounge, and if you're there before 10pm you can walk around the 3 floor tropical butterfly reserve.

Parks & Nature
Just in front of the Malecón (the pedestrian walkway and bike path that runs for several kilometers along the cliff in front of the ocean), Maria Reiche Park is especially charming at night, where replicas of the Nasca lines are lit up. During the daytime you can sit and stare out at the ocean, have a picnic, do yoga, or relax and read, just like the many many parks that dot the Malecón. Stroll down and you'll come across people playing music, working out, sunbathing, or playing with their kids and dogs.
