If you are the Hawkes Bay you must check out Te Mata peak in Havelock North, one of the highest peaks in the area with breath taking 360 degree views through the Tuki Tuki valley and back to Napier. You can drive to the top of Te Mata Peak from Napier in around 30mins, also the peak has many great mountain bike tracks and walking tracks to explore.
