The lagoon is our favourite CBD/downtown place, especially in the summer. The pool is huge and gorgeous. There's BBQs, cafes and lots of grass for catching the sun's rays. Great spot for relaxing.

Skyrail is a unique rainforest cableway ride which travels through world-heritage rainforest. It's a 2.5h trip, with a couple of stops on boardwalks to examine the rainforest from within the canopy.

Our favourite place for a weekend BBQ! The Boulders is a large freshwater swimming hole nestled in the rainforest. We come here often during the summer months for a refreshing swim and afternoon BBQ.

This is the major bus terminus of all bus routes in Cairns. From our house in My Sheridan it is a 30 minute bus ride to this mall. From here, everything in the inner-city is just a short walk away.
