Another great local spot for breakfast and lunch - home baked biscuits and fried grit cakes topped with all kinds of yumminess (even gluten free biscuits offered). How about the "Greybeard"?: fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, homemade honey mustard, atop a giant biscuit - yikes!

Probably Black Mountain's best spot for dinner. Great chef, always excellent reviews, nice ambience. Try sitting in the oyster bar for a more casual atmosphere. (Closed on Monday)

Very informal "go to" spot for lunch and dinner - in the heart of downtown. Lots of local brews on tap, live music now and again. Try the "Lover's Leap" - salmon patties on a bed of mashed potatoes with a delicious salsa.
