This is our favorite restaurant in Marfa! Great outdoor garden setting for dinner as well as a gorgeous bar inside for great cocktails ( prickly pear margarita!). The chef is one of the best in all of Texas. A unique dining experience you won't forget.

Arts & Culture

The Wrong Store is both a gallery and a boutique featuring hand made beautiful and artful gifts. Often by local artists and artisans. It's inside a former church and has great light and is a fun shopping experience. Not to be missed. Say hello to Buck for us!

The Marfa Book Company has one of the best collections we've ever seen! Incredible selection of art books and much more. Also has a small boutique of nicely curated items. It's inside the lobby of the St George hotel. The owner, Tim Johnson, is a local hero.

Drinks & Nightlife

Planet Marfa is an outdoor Beer Garden, owned by Jon and Aase. They have shaded patio areas, an upstairs open deck, a teepee (which is a great place to hang out in when it's cold, sitting around the fire), ping pong table and much more. There's always music playing and often live. They serve wine and beer only. Their food menu has two items; Great Nacho's, with Aase's Homemade Pico, and Hot Dogs. They have a vintage school bus that Jon can drive you out in to view the Marfa Lights. Call them for prices and reservations. Check them out on Facebook too. They are usually open Friday-Sunday, March thru November.

Everything Else

It's a beautiful drive, with spectacular views. It has about 32 miles of paved road that then turns into dirt which, if you want to go further, I'd strongly recommend having a high clearance/four wheel drive vehicle for. Donald Judd's ranch, Casa Perez, is located on Pinto Canyon Road/RR2810, though not accessible to the public for most of the year.
