Getting Around

Closest transportations to get around! Hop on!
Gare de Lyon is one of the main train stations in the City. You'll find trains going to various parts of France, as well as suburban trains and metro lines (1, 14, RER A, RER D) to reach other areas in Paris. Lines 1 and 14 are very convenient! It has a beautiful big clock that you can see from the outside :)

Food 🍱

One of my favorite restaurants in Paris! Typical French food, a lot of tourists and Parisian people, a fantastic team of waiters, affordable prices and a chance to connect with your neighbors! The line is often long but it always goes fast. If you go there early (7pm), you’ll have a table quite easily! (They don’t take reservations)

Coffee Shops ☕️ & Coworking

Those places have been double-triple-quadruple checked by my palate! You’ll find some of them close from the flat and others around Paris :)
I have worked there as a barista for two years; I used to be the manager of Nuage Café :) It's an old convent that the owners transformed into a co-working-living space. It's quiet, and it feels like home. For 5€/hour, you can eat and drink as much as you'd like (you pay for the time you spend, not for what you eat). They use specialty coffee (KAWA) that is delicious, have soy milk. Snacks aren't homemade (just so you know). Ancient furniture from the owners' grandparents, clouds floating above your head, the cocoon upstairs is my favorite space. They have a piano upstairs, don't miss it! Whether you want to stop for coffee and snacks, get some work done or take a nap, that's the place you shouldn't miss, and you'll remember that place forever.

Sightseeing

Before you leave the house, grab two glasses and a bottle opener. If it's daytime and sunny, you should consider finger picking food to make a pic nic ! Bike or stop at Abbesses metro station (line 12 and 2). Walk in the area to get a taste of the old Paris. Buy a bottle of your favorite drink (red wine is what I highly suggest!) in a shop nearby. Walk towards the Sacré Coeur (take the funicular or the stairs - be prepared if you choose that option) and sit on the grass or on the stairs, to enjoy the view. Take a deep breath, smile and sip your drink. There you are, in the heart of Paris, doing what every Parisian does to feel alive :) Enjoy ;)

My favorite library in Paris! It is free if you want to visit or work in the « Salle Ovale ». It is a quiet space :) If you want to go there to work, make sure you arrive a little (15mn) before the opening so you’re guaranteed to get a spot. If you arrive after 10am, you’ll have some seats available, but not a desk.

Breakfast and/or Brunch

In the heart of Montmartre, it'll be perfect before a walk in the heart of Paris! BEST BRUNCH EVER! All you can eat for less than 25€ Delicious homemade food! From croissant to the hot chocolate to there baby omelets and gratin Dauphinois, it's one of the best brunches I've had! :) I highly recommend arriving 15mn before the opening as you can't make reservations. Therefore, if there's a line, you can give your number, so they save your spot and call you when it's almost your turn ;) Bon appétit!

If you want to know me better, going to that place is like visiting my second home. In the heart of the city, close to République, that little bar will blow your mind. Their products are fresh, homemade, and French. Let them tell you where their ingredients come from; it's always outstanding to see how passionate they are! Sparkles in cocktails? Yes, please! Ask for a cocktail with "the" ice cube in it; you won't be disappointed ;)

Parks & Nature

Close to my previous home. It's a bit far, but if you're in the area of Champs Elysées, you should go! I love to have picnics there, it's awesome to read, write, walk or for a morning run :)

If you want to see Paris from above, that's where you want to go :) I'm lucky to live very close by to the Coulée Verte. It's "our" Highline (yes, much different from the one in New York, but still a Highline!). I won't say much, except that it's a must-do if you like to walk, and want to escape from the noise of Paris' ground 0.
