This is a beautiful walking track for the more active traveller it starts at the West End of Ohope Beach and finishes up in Whakatane. It takes up to 2 hours and has beautiful views of White & Whale Islands. It can only be walked around low tide.

The West End is a perfect surf spot, there is a look out with stunning views including the 11km length of the beach which can be accessed by walking up the stairs at the end of the beach. If you carry on walking you get to Otarawairere beach, a gorgeous picnic and swimming spot. If you continue walking to the end of the bay you get to the Toi track that leads to Whakatane.
