"Erna and Terry Wiebe" own this beautiful Garden Center/Cafe/clothing/gift shop. It's 1 km east of the house and well worth stopping in. Their coffee/tea selection is excellent and the soup/bread/desserts are all home made and delicious!

32085 MB-52"Erna and Terry Wiebe" own this beautiful Garden Center/Cafe/clothing/gift shop. It's 1 km east of the house and well worth stopping in. Their coffee/tea selection is excellent and the soup/bread/desserts are all home made and delicious!
This place is a treasure! Sample a huge variety of balsamic oils and vinegars to your hearts content. They provide freshly baked bread for dipping. My favorite oil is the "Tuscan Herb" which can be mixed with many varieties of the vinegars for THE most wonderful salad dressing. You will not leave here empty handed.

They market items that are hand made, providing consumers with beautifully unique products that have been fairly purchased from sustainable sources.
I love the jewellrey, pottery, table cloths, hand made cards, wood work, and varieties of coffee....many great gift options here! (and if you let them know you're purchasing a gift they'll package it beautifully)

"Gary Funk" is an integrible, caring family man who works together with a great group of people to run this pharmacy. They make each and every customer feel valued and appreciated. Both prescription and "over the counter" items are available along with advice as needed. The prices here are well below the competitors and most often you can help yourself to a fresh cookie and bottle of water to enjoy during a minimal wait ...(I don't think I've ever finished my cookie) There is NO finer pharmacy in the land :)

I love that there are always employees in the aisles of this store, consistently friendly and available to assist you with finding whatever you need.

Pick up some "LaCocina taco chips", a few ready made salads and some "Pioneer Farmer Sausage", all made in Manitoba for a quick and delicious BBQ supper. I love that there are always employees in the aisles of this store, consistently friendly and available to assist you with finding whatever you need.

The museum/village is a showcase of life in Manitoba when it was settled by Eastern European Mennonites in the 1800s. The buildings are set up in a quaint little village setting and include a beautiful windmill, "General Store", blacksmith shop, house with a grass roof (semlin), house with a "house barn" attached, an old school house, etc. If you're here in the summer, you'll see farm animals outside and likely be offered a horse drawn wagon ride. The volunteers that work in the village are kind and generous with stories and information. The restaurant is over-priced but serves authentic Mennonite food which I enjoy....especially the "rhubarb platz" :)
