Best sourdough in Suffolk (though fans of gorgeous award-winning Pump Street Bakery in Orford would beg to differ) and lovely spot for cakes and people watching. So popular they've opened two more branches - HQ is now very near to us at Darhsam (drive past the station and it's on the A12 on the right - also a cook school) and Aldeburgh on the High Street

Equally special is Southwold's cinema - the Electric Picture Palace is small but perfectly formed. From another world!

Parks & Nature
Cove Hithe is vanishing fast due to coastal erosion but it remains one of the most stunning beach walks (NB only for the sure-footed who can handle eroding, exposed cliffs).
Easier walks with just as lovely scenery can be found at nearby Dunwich - the town that fell into the sea (check out the lovely little museum) - along the jolly front at Southwold (must-see are the quirky amusements on the pier), Orford with its castle, smoke houses and oysters, Iken and its iconic pilgrims' church (plus great samphire foraging) and Dunwich/RSPB Minsmere heath for birds and beautiful heathers, gorse and wildlife.
