The most incredible authentic pasta and isn’t expensive. You can’t reserve, but turn up and you’ll be seated quickly, even if the queue looks long. Definitely get the gnocchi to share as well as your main dish.

A London classic, and it’s now opening in Manchester too. Bottomless chai tea for £2.50 – a secret authentic recipe they still refuse to share. Bacon naan and jackfruit biryani are also gorgeous. Our favourite branch is the Carnaby Street one, which is tucked just behind Oxford Street and has lots of little boutiques to explore.

If you’re a fan of the popular Channel 4 series First Dates, you can eat at the restaurant where they film. It’s the Paternoster Chop House just next to St Paul’s Cathedral. Sadly, Fred only works there when they’re filming, though!

Parks & Nature

Green areas with large aged trees for when the weather is warm, animal enclosures with deer, birds and lemurs, tennis courts, a stumpery - a collection of beautifully-shaped tree stumps – sounds strange but in fact lovely, a lake surrounded by plants and flowers, a café, Mediterranean and water gardens

The scene of many concerts and films. You can reach it in around 20 minutes on foot. At the vast Heath, you can enjoy an old and large woodland area, swimming ponds, Kenwood House, which is a heritage stately home open to the public with a gorgeous café. There are several large lakes to stroll around, there's Parliament Hill, with its iconic view over London, and The Hill Garden and Pergola, a beautiful Georgian walled garden with gorgeous views over the Heath.
