Sightseeing
This place is an AWESOME hidden gem that is right down the road! (Literally a 3min drive.) Easy free parking. It is used for mountain biking but I go there for hikes. The soft dirt trails are easy on the joins lol. And very few people go here, so it is like you have it all to yourself most of the time. TONS of trails, and it even goes right down along the coast, so you can chill by some super-private spots on the beach. And there are some amazing ruins of abandoned old buildings throughout the place. I think this place used to be an old prison grounds or asylum of some sort? Its totally weird and you HAVE to see this place if you stay here and want to get out in nature a bit.

This is where the local baseball team, the Mayaguez Indios, plays their games. The team has been in Mayaguez since 1938. The stadium is only a few miles down the road and very easy to get to. If you like the relaxed feeling of a minor league baseball game, this may be right up your alley. There is also a very nice outdoor restaurant right across the street.

This restaurant is inside a building shaped like huge boat. The food is good! And it is run by the nicest little old lady. Definitely worth it. And it is also right down the road. Very easy to miss though.

Best burger around- by FAR. If you want a big, juicy burger and some great local IPA brews, this is the place. One of the best burgers I have every had- no joke. And it is literally less than a 5min drive and has super easy parking.

Brand new place that opened close by in Mayaguez where you can drink and throw axes. (Yes, you read that right.) They have great wings! (Do NOT order them "extra hot"- if you do, you will regret that decision for days to come...lol)
