Learn about the rich history of the neighborhood by learning of the history of this building. Tenements are the buildings built for the immigrants coming from Elise Island. Each block was intended for a specific nationality. My building was built for Italian Immigrants for example. The museum is essentially is a large bookstore about NYC history. They own multiple buildings in the area and facilitate guided tours of all different themes of its history.
